Business Update: H?fele - serving you

As a country, over the last few weeks, we have seen some dramatic changes in a very short period of time. It meant that we had to rethink our whole operation in order to focus mainly on responding to customers servicing the frontline, helping to create the additional capacity required by the NHS to respond to the Coronavirus pandemic. This has kept our skeleton team of volunteers incredibly busy.

However, we have noticed an increase in orders from customers who are starting to respond to their customers’ needs, which has meant a rise in the number of calls asking if we are open and able to deliver. We would like to confirm that H?fele remains open for your orders and we are delivering to you, whilst prioritising orders for the frontline.

Orders and deliveries available

We are open 24/7 online for you to order with next day deliveries available. During this period, we will still prioritise orders supporting the frontline; however, our staff are here to serve you and your business. Since the lockdown, our customer support advisors have been working from home taking your orders and responding to your queries over the phone, so if you need us please just call 0800 171 2909.

Minor changes to service

As we are operating with a skeleton staff, and to ensure we follow strict 2m social distancing rules, we have had to tweak some of our service offering. The main change is that our cut off for orders is currently 5pm rather than 6pm, so that we can ensure next day deliveries are processed in time. Our collections office at Rugby will also remain closed until further notice.

Supporting our staff

We will continue to adhere to all advice from the UK’s health experts and the Government to ensure that our staff are kept safe at all times. We are working to the 2m social distancing guidelines, including when delivering to you, providing PPE to our on-premise skeleton team and keeping our staff up to date with the changing situation, and providing some ideas for keeping entertained at home, through a weekly bulletin. We even ran a virtual quiz to celebrate our 40th birthday last week.
